This Halloween when your child wants to carve ten pumpkins, here is a resolution to only carving one or two.
A pop bottle jack-o-lantern.
Materials
- Plastic bottle can be any shape or size depending on your preferences.
- Orange paint.
- Ribbon.
- Brown, green and black fabric.
- Hot glue gun.
Instructions
You will first need to paint your plastic bottle with the orange paint to have the pumpkin color. After you have painted the bottle you will then need to let it dry. You will need to cut the black fabric into the shapes of a mouth a nose and eyes. This is where you will be creative in designing your own pumpkin. With the brown fabric you need to cover the lid to make a stem. You can also make leaves or a vine with the ribbon and/or green fabric if you choose. You will glue the fabric down.
Now that you have finished the bottle you can use it as decoration for your porch. Your child could also give it as a gift to his or teacher and/or bus driver. This is just one of many fun and enjoyable halloween crafts for kids.
