When the winter months roll around kids don’t just think about Christmas, they think about snow also. When it is too cold for them to actually go out why not let them make snowman crafts in the house. You don’t even have to use snow!
There are many different type of snowman crafts that you can do. You can add them to kids Christmas crafts, snowflake crafts, or even candy cane crafts. With imagination there are many different things that you can relate these to. You can make snowman crafts out of anything from candle wax to cotton balls. Below are some that I really enjoy.
Seashell Snowman
For this you will need three seashells, small black, orange, and red beads, and a hot glue gun. The three seashells will need to range from small to large in order to have the three circles to the snowman, the smallest being the head. You will need to glue these three shells together. After you have done this, use the black beads for two eyes, the orange to design a nose, and the red to make a mouth. You can also use felt to make things like a hat or boots.
Styrofoam ball Snowman
In this craft you will need three different sized styrofoam balls, pushpins and a popsicle stick. First you will need to make the bottom of the biggest snowball flat so that your little snowman will be able to stand. Connect the three balls together by sticking the popsicle stick in them to make sure they connect. Decorate the face with pushpins. Use your imagination and your snowman will go far.In conclusion, keep your kids occupied. I am sure you would rather them inside doing fun crafts than outside getting sick.
