Don't forget Pilgrim crafts as kids thanksgiving crafts

By Brandi W.

Pilgrim Crafts are a way of educating and celebrating with your child. They can learn about the Mayflower and about the Pilgrim’s voyage, while doing a craft or two. Some pilgrim crafts can consist of turkeys or even pilgrim hats!

Thanksgiving is a time for giving, some other Pilgrim Crafts you could do, could be things for you and children to give to other family members. Some of these could include turkey shaped cards, nametags for the table, or even a thankful list for everyone to see. Some of the Pilgrim Crafts I find most interesting are listed below.

Thankful Tree

This is a terrific Thanksgiving Day pilgrim craft, and is very simple. You will need construction paper, glue and scissors. Use your child’s hand to make the leaves; you can help them by cutting out the tree trunk. On each leaf you and your child can brainstorm and put all the things you are thankful for. This pilgrim craft is a way of bonding. You can decorate it however you want.

Toilet Paper Role Turkey

Cover the toilet paper role with construction paper, and cut out another one of your child’s hands. Put the hand on the back of the toilet paper role so that it looks like feathers. Then decorate this Pilgrim Craft on the front to have the face of your choice. Be creative!

If you’re looking for an excuse to bond with your kids, this is the one. Pilgrim Crafts will bring you together around the holidays.
